Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 2026
AIstackfor.me ("we", "us", "our") respects your privacy. This Policy describes how we collect, use, and disclose information about users of aistackfor.me (the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to the practices described here.
Information we collect
- Account information you provide on signup: email, display name, username, and authentication credentials (passwords are stored hashed; passkeys are stored as public credentials only).
- Profile and content you choose to publish: bio, role, company, social links, your stack, reviews, bookmarks, and tool submissions.
- Operational data needed to run the Service: session tokens, rate-limit counters, audit logs of moderation actions you take.
- Optional analytics via PostHog. This is disabled by default and only enabled if you accept analytics cookies. Analytics data is pseudonymous.
- Error monitoring via Sentry. We log application errors and a minimal context to fix bugs. We do not log personal content.
How we use information
We use information to operate the Service (authenticate, render your stack, deliver notifications), to enforce community standards (rate limiting, spam detection), to improve the product (privacy-respecting analytics if you opt in), and to send transactional emails (verification, replies, weekly digests).
We do not sell your data, share it with advertising networks, or use it to train third-party models.
Cookies
We use cookies in three categories: Essential (always on — auth, session, security), Analytics (opt-in — PostHog), and Marketing (none in v1). You manage these via the consent banner.
Your rights (GDPR / CCPA)
You can export your personal data as JSON and permanently delete your account directly from the dashboard at any time. Deletion is processed immediately for active records and propagated to backups within thirty (30) days.
For other privacy requests (correction, restriction, objection, portability), write to privacy@aistackfor.me.
Data retention
Account data is retained for the life of your account. Moderation audit logs are retained for two (2) years for safety and legal compliance. Backups are rotated on a 7-day schedule with point-in-time recovery enabled.
Children
The Service is not directed to children under sixteen (16). If you believe a child has provided personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes
We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced in-app or via email. Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance.
